What will Xiaomi 14 Ultra offer to users?
Digital Chat Station, known for its leaks in the industry, unveiled the technical specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra model. According to this information, the smartphone will feature a new 1-inch Sony LYT900 main camera sensor. This sensor will appear as an optimized version of the IMX9898 found in Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, and Xiaomi 13 Pro.
As seen above, Xiaomi has been using a 1-inch camera in its Ultra models for several generations, and it will continue in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. In addition to the main camera, there will be three auxiliary sensors with a resolution of 50 megapixels each.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Qualcomm has set the launch date for the new processor as October 2023. The new processor will be showcased at Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Maui, Hawaii from October 24th to 26th.
In addition to the announcement date, the new processor also appears to come with significant performance improvements. According to the information, the processor will host a 3.7GHz Cortex-X4 core, which is a substantial performance boost. Changes are also expected in the core architecture of the processor.
The current flagship chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, uses the Cortex-X3 architecture and operates at 3.2 GHz. This means that there will be a significant performance improvement, especially in daily use. Furthermore, the new processor is expected to have a 1+5+2 architecture, consisting of one “super-large” core, five “big” cores, and two “small” cores.
The smartphone is expected to come with a curved panel with a 2K resolution, but the exact release date is yet to be determined. However, according to the rumors, it will be available to users in the first half of the next year.
