14 and 16 inch MacBook Pro specs
Apple’s much-discussed M3/M3 Pro-powered 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models have finally been unveiled. The standout feature of the device, as the name suggests, is its use of the M3/M3 Pro processors. The new M3 Pro processor features a 12-core CPU with 6 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores, as well as an 18-core GPU configuration. According to the company’s claims, the new processor is 20% faster than the M2 Pro and 40% faster than the M1 Pro.
The M3 Pro brings performance to the next level with its impressive features. With over 37 billion transistors, the processor can make all tasks faster and more efficient. As a result, the new MacBook Pro offers up to 36GB of unified memory (RAM) and a 200GBps memory bandwidth.
The standard M3 version, on the other hand, features 8 cores, with 4 being performance cores and 4 being efficiency cores. Apple highlights that it is 35% faster than the M1 and 20% faster than the M2. The M3 chip, which houses 25 billion transistors, also supports up to 24GB of RAM.
There aren’t significant changes on the screen side of the new MacBook Pro. Initially, it features the Liquid Retina XDR display, as seen in previous models. In addition to this, the display offers 1000 nits of continuous brightness and a maximum of 1600 nits for HDR content. It’s worth noting that SDR content is displayed at up to 600 nits of brightness. Finally, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a six-speaker audio system, and studio-quality microphones are also offered to users.
