1X Technologies has introduced its new humanoid robot, NEO Beta , designed for home use. This new robot is designed to help people with household chores. The company is working with full-time operators to increase the robot’s proficiency in various tasks. They are currently preparing for mass production of NEO Beta at their Moss factory in Norway. So, how capable is this robot? Details in our news…
1X Technologies’ humanoid robot NEO Beta will help with housework
NEO Beta was developed specifically for use in home environments such as the kitchen. It will be available for trial use in selected homes later this year. CEO Bernt Børnich emphasized that the safety of the robot is a top priority and stated that they placed great emphasis on safety measures during the development process to ensure NEO Beta can operate safely in homes.
The design of the robot is also noteworthy. NEO Beta weighs only 25 kilograms, making it much lighter than other humanoid robots. In addition, unlike other robots, NEO Beta’s outer shell is equipped with a soft coating instead of hard plastic or metal. This design will minimize possible accidents, especially when the robot interacts with humans.
1X Technologies accelerated its growth and expansion plans by raising a $1 billion investment earlier this year. However, no information has been shared about the price of NEO Beta yet. It is estimated that the robot’s price could be much lower than Tesla’s Optimus model.
NEO Beta is seen as an important step towards the use of humanoid robots in household chores and is expected to generate great interest in the consumer market. What do you think? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
