What does FSR 4 offer?
FSR 4 uses advanced machine learning models to make in-game visuals sharper and clearer. There is less loss of detail, especially when switching from low to high resolution, and smooth edges are created with anti-aliasing. FSR 4 also offers backward compatibility with the FSR 3.1 API and can be used on existing systems.
AMD has initially optimised FSR 4 for more than 30 games. By 2025, the number of supported games will increase to over 75. It can be used in many popular games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok and Cyberpunk 2077.

AMD is offering FSR 4 as fully open source. Developers can easily integrate FSR 4 into their game engines and perform performance optimisations independently. This allows it to be used with NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards in addition to AMD graphics cards.
When FSR 4 is combined with HYPR-RX technology, the performance increase is even higher. Games such as Star Citizen, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 saw FPS values increase by over 2.5x. With AMD’s new HYPR-RX update, FSR 4 + Frame Generation combine to provide the smoothest gaming experience.
It takes the competitive gaming experience to the next level by offering high refresh rates, especially at 4K resolution. AMD’s AI-powered upscaling algorithms deliver less image degradation and less blur compared to previous generations.
