OnePlus 12 will break new ground in fingerprint scanner
A recent announcement by OnePlus President Li Jie reveals that the upcoming OnePlus 12 will feature an innovative ultra-thin under-display fingerprint reader, distinguishing itself from competitors and promising a faster user experience.
The OnePlus 12 has recently surfaced in AnTuTu v10 tests, achieving an impressive overall score of 2,333,033 points. Breaking down the scores, the device obtained 533,566 for CPU, 904,961 for GPU, 538,511 for MEM (Read and Write Speed), and 355,995 for UX, showcasing its remarkable performance.
Digital Chat Station, known for leaking information, suggests that this AnTuTu score is the highest ever recorded for the OnePlus 12, though real-time results will be confirmed upon the official unveiling.
Expected specifications for the OnePlus 12 include a 6.82-inch BOE AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is rumored to offer a 2K+ panel with 2160Hz PWM dimming and a pixel density of 510 pixels. Additionally, the panel is said to have a DisplayMate A+ rating in the 2K category.
OnePlus recently confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will come with 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage in an official announcement. While other memory and storage options are expected, specific details have not been shared at this time.
In terms of processing power, OnePlus announced that the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Developed through collaboration with TSMC using 4nm technology, the processor features a configuration of 1x 3.3 GHz ARM Cortex-X4, 3x 3.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A720, 2x 3.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A720, and 2x 2.3 GHz ARM Cortex-A520 cores. The chip also includes the Adreno 750 graphics unit with Ray Tracing support.
