Apple introduced its latest products at the WWDC 2024 event a few months ago. Among the announced products were iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2 developer beta versions. Among these, iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia were undoubtedly the most notable.
With the release of the macOS Sequoia developer Beta, users have started to explore the new version. Hidden features have also begun to emerge, and we’ve listed these for you. Let’s start with Safari.
Safari now offers Highlights to get directions on the web, summaries, or more information about people, music, movies, and TV shows. Additionally, the Reader feature now includes functions for displaying summary tables for a more comfortable reading experience. While these features were not present in Beta 1 and 2, they were added in Beta 3.
Another small but useful feature in Safari is the “Video Viewer.” When you start playing any video in Safari, you will see a message in the address bar saying “Video Viewer available.” This feature allows the video to switch to mini playback mode so you can continue watching it even if you are busy with another window.
The biggest change is the enhancement to the user experience of the Apple Passwords app in the menu bar. You can now see your saved passwords in a list format. Additionally, the menu allows you to save a new password. You can access this menu by opening the Apple Passwords app from the menu bar or using the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + P.
