Qualcomm and MediaTek are working on 6G
Qualcomm will detail its work on 6G at MWC 2025. The company will partner with Nokia Bell Labs and Rohde & Schwarz in this context. It was stated that Qualcomm particularly wants to integrate artificial intelligence into network protocols.
Qualcomm believes that future networks will have the ability to learn and adapt using artificial intelligence-based protocols. It was emphasized that these intelligent networks will be able to adjust parameters in real time for higher efficiency.
Drawing attention with its price-performance balance in the smartphone market, Vivo appeared before the users with its new model Vivo V50.
MediaTek, one of Qualcomm’s major competitors, is also taking big steps for 6G. MediaTek President Joe Chen, who will make statements at MWC 2025, stated that the company is focused on networking and artificial intelligence.
MediaTek will work with leading names in the industry to accelerate its 6G work. It was reported that it will join forces with Nvidia, Intel and G REIGNS in this context.
One of MediaTek’s prominent technologies will be the sub-band full-duplex (SBFD) technology that reduces latency. This innovation, which is valid for both 5G-Advanced and 6G, was developed in collaboration with Keysight to solve connection problems on smartphones.
