The Smart #5 is built on Geely’s SEA2 platform and has similar dimensions to the Peugeot 5008. However, it does not have a seven-seat option. The model retains the Smart’s modern design lines, with a more angular and robust appearance instead of sharp headlights and a single light bar.
This model uses an advanced version of Smart’s UX system, this time accompanied by a lion avatar. For the driver, there’s a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which is larger than the 9.2-inch screens of its smaller siblings.
Additionally, a 25.6-inch augmented reality (AR) head-up display has been introduced specifically for this model. Designed for outdoor adventures, all seats in this model can also be used as makeshift beds.
While power figures have not yet been released, according to information released by the Chinese government in June, the most powerful version of this model will be a dual-motor Brabus version with 637 horsepower . That’s more than 200 horsepower more than the most powerful versions of the smaller #1 and #3 models, and it also outperforms electric sports SUVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Kia EV6 GT.
