NASA plans to go to the Moon after a long time. NASA, which made a road plan within the scope of these plans, determined the critical points. Stating that the flight will be manned, NASA said that if its plans are successful, we may encounter exciting results.
NASA wants to collect lots of ice on the Moon with Artemis
NASA aims to send astronauts to the Moon in 2025 with Artemis. The agency, which has planned the entire program in detail, has now announced the locations to go on the Moon. Marking 13 regions, the respected institution NASA also gave some critical information about the regions.
The marked regions are located at the Moon’s south pole. The agency believes there are significant resources of water, ice and dark craters in the marked areas. Sarah Noble, head of lunar science in NASA’s Planetary Science Division, stated at a press conference yesterday that the regions had not been explored before.
NASA has pressed the button for the first project, which consists of 3 stages. NASA, which wanted to start the first step of the Artemis mission in May, started to take its first steps in May. Aiming to start the project until 2028 in the first place, NASA would carry out the first human landing on the Moon in 2024, pushing its target 4 years earlier with the pressures of the then President Donald Trump. This early launch, however, was hit by many hurdles. According to the current planning, the project will be delayed after the USA elections. It is estimated to be 2025.
Artemis 1, the first step of the long-term project, is a pioneer for the mission in general. This first step will be undertaken to test rockets and systems before a crewed flight into lunar orbit with the Artemis 2 program. If the second step is successful, a crewed landing will be made on the Moon surface with Artemis 3, which is postponed to 2025. Please share your thoughts on comments!
