Pixel 7 series coming with Tensor G2 Soc
The tech giant will launch its new Android flagship phones and other devices on October 6th. However, Google has also confirmed the next-generation Tensor chipset. The coming Tensor chipset will be named “Tensor G2 SoC,” according to the product page.
According to the previous report, the new coming chipset was only mentioned as a “GS201” processor. Also, there is a claim about the manufacturers of the chipset. The claim says Samsung is already working on the third-generation Tensor chipset. Even though there is not announcement, people are waiting for a collaboration like that.
Google’s upcoming Tensor 2 chipset will power the Pixel 7 series. The company says that with the Tensor G2, the Pixel 7 series “will bring even more helpful, personalized features to photos, videos, security, and speech recognition.” You can now sign up for the latest updates of the Pixel 7 series on the Google Store website.
Although the coming Tensor G2 chipset is not the most powerful or energy-efficient, it still allows the Pixel phones to offer features like Magic Eraser and other photo features. To develop its features, Google will probably work with Samsung on its third-generation Tensor chipset. We will see the new devices at the Google event on October 6 at 10 a.m ET.
