Xiaomi is set to unveil its new Redmi K60 series at the Redmi 2023 New Year Conference, which will be held at 19:00 tomorrow. The main focus of the event will be the Redmi K60 series, which has generated a lot of buzz in recent weeks. The company has released new renders of the devices, which reveal that the Redmi K60 series will feature the IMX800 main camera + OIS, as well as the Xiaomi Imaging Brain 2.0 and Snap Camera.
Redmi K60 series to feature flexible 2K display and 50-megapixel camera
Lu Weibing, the general manager of the Redmi brand, has stated on Weibo that the Redmi K60 Pro will be a highly anticipated device, and that it will feature the same flagship camera sensor as the Xiaomi 13 – the Sony IMX800. It will also come equipped with the Xiaomi Imaging Brain 2.0, which represents a full transfer of Xiaomi’s core imaging capabilities to the Redmi K60 Pro.
According to previous reports, the Redmi K60 series will include three models: the Redmi K60E, K60, and K60 Pro. These phones will be powered by the Dimensity 8200, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoCs, respectively. The K60 series will come with a built-in 5500 mAh battery and will support 30W wireless and 67W wired charging. The high-end K60 Pro model will feature 120W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
Leakster @DCS has revealed that the K60 series will consist of three models: a standard version, a Pro version, and a gaming version. The standard Redmi K60 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, while the Pro and gaming versions will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips, respectively. @DCS also revealed that the Redmi K60 series will not be released until next year, and will feature a Dimensity/Snapdragon dual platform with TSMC’s 4nm process.
In addition, the Redmi K60 series will come with a flexible display that supports 2K resolution and features a center single punch-hole design. The phones will also feature a 50-megapixel new outsole camera, as well as two fast charging solutions for large batteries of 100 watts. The Redmi K60 series will also reintroduce the optical under-screen fingerprint sensor, and will feature “2K direct screens”. The K60 Pro will specifically feature 2K high-quality direct screens.
