Thirteen years ago, WhatsApp, the instant messaging application, was introduced to the users, and it continues to be equipped with new features. Lately, the company has been paying attention to user requests and is testing the feature of converting images into official stickers on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is testing the feature of converting images into official stickers!
Stickers are one of the best features of WhatsApp, enriching conversations and adding color. Previously, in order to send any sticker, you had to download it from an app or website. However, with the new feature being tested by WhatsApp, you will be able to convert any image into an official sticker.
According to a blog post shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow you to convert photos from your gallery into stickers. Detailed information is not yet available, but the screenshot above shows that the feature is included among the attachment options with an icon for adding.
With this new feature, WhatsApp aims to eliminate the need for third-party sticker download apps. Previously, users had to rely on these apps to create stickers.
The feature of converting images into official stickers is currently available for iPhone users with the iOS 23.10.0.74 update. It is currently accessible only to test users, and it is expected to be rolled out to everyone in the near future. It is worth noting that this feature is already available on WhatsApp Web and Desktop.
In addition to this, WhatsApp is also working on a new design for the message menu on Android. In the current version of the app, when a message is long-pressed, a list of emojis for reactions is displayed. However, in the design being tested in the beta version, additional actions such as deletion and forwarding are included alongside emojis. The new interface is also expected to be available to everyone soon.
