Apple’s highly anticipated WWDC 2023 event finally took place after weeks of anticipation. The tech giant put on a show, officially introducing its new electronic products and software, including iOS 17. One of these introductions was watchOS 10 for Apple Watch smartwatches. With watchOS 10, many apps have been redesigned. Additionally, Apple Watch now has widget support, similar to iPhones. You can view your desired widgets on the home screen, such as Weather, Stocks, Home, Maps, Messages, and World Clock. Furthermore, the background color will change according to the time of day. For example, if it’s evening, a dark-themed color will be displayed.
Apple introduced the features offered in iOS 17 during the WWDC 2023 event. One of the features included in iOS 17 is the "Journal" feature.
watchOS 10 introduces two new watch faces called Palette and Snoopy. Moreover, it integrates Compass and Maps into the Cycling Workout feature, and you can automatically track your workout as a Live Activity on your iPhone.
The new operating system also offers the Workout API for developers. watchOS 10 also provides a feature aimed at reducing myopia risk. This feature measures the time spent in daylight using the ambient light sensor.
To quickly access Control Center while in any app, you can press the side button. Additionally, you can double-press the Digital Crown to return to the most recently used app. The new watchOS version also introduces a new feature called Mental Health, which allows users to measure their mental well-being.

Users can easily share their contact information by bringing their Apple Watch close to someone else’s iPhone using the NameDrop feature. Furthermore, there is a feature called Medications app, which sends a notification for users who haven’t taken their medications after 30 minutes past the designated time.
