Rumors have emerged recently that Instagram, a social media platform under the Meta umbrella, has been working on a ChatGPT-like chatbot. Today, the features of this Al chatbot have been revealed for the first time.
What features will Instagram’s chatbot have?
With advancing technology, Al has seen significant growth in recent years. We will soon witness the presence of Al on Instagram, just like in the software we use, websites, and many other social media platforms.
A screenshot shared by software developer Alessandro Paluzzi reveals Instagram’s new AI-powered chatbot. According to the information in this screenshot, the chatbot will be capable of answering user questions and providing recommendations.
According to the information emerging today, ChatGPT will come embedded in the upcoming Infinix model smartphone, which will be released soon.
From the screenshot, it appears that there will be 30 different versions of the chatbot, and users will need to choose one of them before starting the conversation. However, it is not known what the differences are between these versions.
Instagram has not made an official statement regarding the Al chatbot. However, an announcement introducing the chatbot is expected in the near future. The exact features, supported languages, and language model to be used by the chatbot are still unclear.
The chatbot may have access to users’ followers, accounts they follow, and their posts, allowing for a more comprehensive range of responses. If this is the case, it could provide answers to questions like, “Who are the people I follow but don’t follow me back?”
It is worth noting that Instagram is not the first social media platform to introduce an AI chatbot. Other platforms like Snapchat and LinkedIn, prominent in the business world, have already integrated Al.
