Several leaks have surfaced about Samsung’s foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, so far. However, the leaks that have appeared so far were mostly promotional images prepared by the brand. Now, for the first time, we have the opportunity to see the phone in real life.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 looks promising
Photos and a video of the prototype of the foldable phone were shared on a website called SlashLeaks. In the new images, we see the new phone being held in a person’s hand. Thus, we get an idea about the dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
The overall appearance of the phone confirms the accuracy of previous leaks. The prototype of the new model, along with the case and other accessories, is used by manufacturers to design them. Therefore, the prototypes appear with the same dimensions as the original phones.
Looking into the details, we see a large cover screen surrounding the dual cameras, as well as a hole-punch selfie camera on the front. The bottom edge of the phone features a USB-C port and a speaker grille. On the right side, we can see the power and volume buttons, while the SIM card slot is located on the left.
According to rumors, the cover screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be 3.4 inches in size. The new phone will be slightly smaller than the Motorola Razr+, which has a 3.6-inch cover screen. On the other hand, it is said that the cover screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will now include Google apps as well.
In addition to the expanding cover screen, the new Galaxy Z Flip will also be ambitious in terms of performance, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The increased screen size and performance may lead to a price increase for the phone. However, we have to wait for Samsung’s official announcement for confirmation.
