Hollywood Reporter critics mentioned the challenge they faced in compiling the list, stating that there were more than 600 original series released in just 2022, making it difficult to even select the top 50 series from the previous year.
After lengthy discussions, the team decided to evaluate only English-language series and also considered series released after December 31, 1999, even if their first episodes aired in the 20th century. So, without further ado, let’s get to the ranking of the best TV series.
At the top of the ranking of the best TV series is “Mad Men.” “The Sopranos” and “Succession” claimed the second and third positions, respectively. When we scroll down the list a bit, we also see “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” included in the ranking.
