OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 12 in China on December 5 and globally on January 24. As the unveiling date approaches, there has been a significant increase in leaks and rumors surrounding the device. According to the latest reports, Digital Chat Station, known for industry leaks, has detailed the screen specifications of the OnePlus 12.
OnePlus 12’s new features revealed
The smartphone is rumored to feature a 6.82-inch BOE AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the 2K+ panel is said to support 2160Hz PWM dimming and offer a pixel density of 510 pixels. The display is also reported to have received a DisplayMate A+ certification in the 2K class.
OnePlus recently officially confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will come with 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It is expected that there will be other memory and storage options, although specific details have not been shared at this time.
Furthermore, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, as previously announced by OnePlus. Qualcomm’s new processor, produced using 4nm technology in collaboration with TSMC, features various cores, including one 3.3GHz ARM Cortex-X4, three 3.2GHz ARM Cortex-A720, two 3.0GHz ARM Cortex-A720, and two 2.3GHz ARM Cortex-A520 cores. The chip also includes the Adreno 750 GPU with Ray Tracing support.
The OnePlus 12 will sport a main camera with the new Sony LYT-808 sensor, offering enhanced image quality and performance in low-light conditions. Another notable camera on the device is a 64-megapixel periscope sensor using the OmniVision OV64B, providing up to 3x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support.
