Twitch CEO Dan Clancy said in his statement that they thought they had gone too far with their new policies and that announced that they are reviewing the new rules accordingly. Accordingly, changes were made again. Accordingly, obscene content will no longer be allowed as it was in the past. “After consideration, we decided we had gone too far with this change. Digital depictions of sexually explicit content present a unique challenge; AI can be used to create realistic images, and it can be difficult to distinguish between digital art and photography. Therefore, starting today, we are reversing changes to artistic explicit content. Depictions of obscenity, real or fictional, will no longer be permitted on Twitch, regardless of medium.’
