Apple has finally released iOS 17.3 for iPhone and iPadOS 17.3 for iPad. Details about iOS 17.3, which includes many innovations, including shared sharing features for Apple Music on iPhones and improved security for lost devices, are in our news.
What does the iOS 17.3 update offer?
One of the main innovations of the update is Shared Playlists for Apple Music. Accordingly, Music subscribers will be able to invite friends and family to create shared playlists. Participants will be able to add, remove and reorder songs in shared playlists.
iOS 17.3 also expands Apple’s Stolen Device Protection policies. Users will now be required to perform biometric authentication via Face ID/Touch ID before changing the device passcode or making account changes.
The update also completely prevents bypassing biometric authentication for certain settings with a backup password. This means that some features can only be accessed with Face ID/Touch ID.
A new wallpaper was also shared with iOS 17.3. A wallpaper called “Unity” was introduced for Black History Week, an important time for Black Americans. The update also includes minor bug fixes and performance improvements.
The iOS 17.3 update is now rolling out for iPhone XR/XS and higher iPhone models. The update will be automatically downloaded in a few days.
