A very popular application among music lovers, Shazam is an application that allows you to find the name of a song or music being played. Finally, Shazam listened to the voices of users. The popular app, which is a free download on the AppStore, now allows users to identify songs in apps while wearing headphones. Here are the details…
Now Shazam will be able to recognize songs in applications while wearing headphones!
Unfortunately, this update, which will make users happy, is only available for iOS users. Apple gave the good news on Thursday. With the latest version, Shazam will be able to detect the sounds around them even if users wear headphones. It will even be able to identify songs within applications.
Apple announced the details about this feature in the release notes of version 17.3 of the Shazam application for iPhone and iPad. “You can now identify music while wearing headphones (wired or Bluetooth). Open the application. Check the headset icon to verify that your headset is connected. Then start recognizing the music around you or on apps like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.”
Before this update, it was possible to identify songs in other applications thanks to Shazam. However, this feature did not work when wearing headphones. Now, thanks to the new update, if nothing is playing on your phone, Shazam will easily detect the song playing in the background as expected.
Apple acquired Shazam in 2017. It slowly started to integrate it into all its platforms. For example, in iOS 14.2, Apple added an iPhone-specific Control Center widget for Shazam. It has now offered the same functionality for Mac installed with macOS Sonoma 14.2. Now, it offers ease of use to users with new updates.
