On the Xiaomi side, which continues its work in the field of wearable technology, the countdown has begun for an addition to the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, which was introduced last year. While the product is expected to come with more modest features and be affordable compared to the Pro, the latest reports also reveal details such as technical features and design.
Xiaomi Watch 2 features and design revealed
Xiaomi’s new smartwatch is expected to be named Watch 2. The device will have the same design elements as the Watch 2 Pro introduced last year. Although it is not yet clear, we can say that the only difference is the absence of the crown on the right side. Of course, things change a little bit on the technical features side.
The device will have a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED panel with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and always-on display mode. We should also point out that the panel is surrounded by a large frame that cannot be seen fully at first due to its glass cover. Apart from this, let us add that the product is waterproof up to 50 meters.
The smartwatch will be powered by the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor, which we also encounter in Pro. In addition, it will run the MIUI Watch-based Wear OS interface, which will provide access to features such as Google Play Store, Google Maps, Google Wallet and contactless payment with NFC.
Other features of the smartwatch, which is expected to offer up to 65 hours of use on a single charge, will include a step counter, sleep tracking, SpO2 tracking and sports modes – 150 sports modes – which we frequently encounter in Xiaomi smartwatches. Finally, the product will be sold at prices ranging from 199 to 219 euros.
