We recently told you sad news about Oppo and vivo. The resulting news claimed that both companies would withdraw from the foldable phone market. Now Oppo has clarified the issue. Here is Oppo’s response to the allegations…
Oppo announced that it is not withdrawing from the foldable phone market!
Foldable phones, which entered our lives a few years ago, were not the center of everyone’s attention even though they seemed useful. However, a claim was made that Oppo and Vivo would withdraw from the market where almost all brands were present. The reason was sales figures and repair costs of the devices. However, the official statement from Oppo came today. The company announced that it is not withdrawing from the foldable phone market.
Foldable phones, which are more difficult to repair than normal devices, put their manufacturers in a difficult position in this area. Of course, since the sales are not as high as other models, the foldable phone market cannot make the return companies expected. Oppo, which was said to no longer produce foldable phones for these reasons, rejected the claims. The company made the following statement today:
“Oppo’s commitment to the continuous development of foldable smartphone technology remains unchanged. Please stay tuned for our official updates and announcements.”
The company states that it will continue to remain in the market with models such as Oppo Find N3, and will soon appear with models such as Find N4, N4 Flip and OnePlus Open 2. Oppo, which holds 18 percent of the foldable phone market in China, will try to increase its share in the market with new models.
We are happy that a brand like Oppo is in the foldable phone market. What do you think about Oppo’s decision? You can express your ideas in the comments.
