Google has updated its chatbot, Gemini, to enable users to better tailor responses. This update allows users to customize responses according to their preferences and is currently available only in English and on Gemini’s web version. But what can this update do for us?
Google Gemini offers user
Customizable Responses-Gemini’s latest update gives users the ability to fine-tune the chatbot’s responses to fit their queries perfectly. Now, without asking Gemini to regenerate the entire text, you can quickly edit the part you want to change, just by opening Gemini in your favorite web browser.
Adjusting Gemini’s responses
When you create a response, highlight the part you want to change and click on the small balloon with a pencil icon. Four options will appear: Regenerate, Shorter, Longer, and Remove. Use the “Regenerate” option to adjust responses to your preference.
Things to keep in mind
You can also provide written instructions to Gemini on how you want the changes by using the “Replace with Prompt” field. However, if your requests don’t guide the chatbot on how to change the response or ask for unsupported text formatting changes, you might receive a “Gemini cannot do this” response.
Also, if your queries are ambiguous or violate Google’s Prohibited Use Policy, the AI might encounter a block. Just a few days before the latest update, Google suspended Gemini’s image generation feature.
This decision was made after the AI created historically inaccurate or offensive images. Adjustments are expected in the coming weeks to address these concerns, with Gemini likely to return with some modifications.
