According to new claims, Xbox’s June event is coming in abundance. Based on a recent trademark application filed by Bethesda, fans think a new Doom game is coming.
New Doom game could be announced at Xbox’s June event!
Bethesda has filed a new trademark application under the name “IDKFA”. Those familiar with the Doom series will recognize the name “IDKFA” as one of the original Doom’s famous cheat codes. This code radically changed the gameplay experience by giving players access to all weapons, keys, full ammo and armor.
Of course, this is conjecture at the moment, and it’s unclear if this trademark is actually pointing to a new Doom game. Still, many Doom fans are hoping that Microsoft will announce a new Doom game at its June 9 event. Leaked court documents from last year revealed a mysterious game called “Doom: Year Zero,” which hinted at a mysterious game called ”Doom: Year Zero. However, there is still no clear information about what this project is.
The last main title in the Doom series was Eternal in 2020, and since then the title has been supported by expansion packs. Then, with Bethesda’s decision to close some of its studios, there was uncertainty and concern about the future of the Doom series. With all this, id Software’s silence is enough to excite Doom fans.
