Meta, the company behind Meta AI—a chatbot similar to Google Gemini—offers typical and well-known AI features such as instant search results, contextual responses, and image generation. However, the fact that all these features are already available for WhatsApp, the world’s most widely used messaging application, has created a lot of excitement.
Meta AI allows users to generate AI-assisted visuals and receive various responses without leaving social media platforms. WhatsApp users can get responses from AI by adding @MetaAI to the beginning of their message. They can even start a verification chat for longer conversations, similar to ChatGPT and Gemini.
WhatsApp is working on a new feature for iPhone users that allows file sharing without an internet connection.
Now for the even more exciting features: As seen in the image above, you can request WhatsApp to transform you into any other persona, hair color, or profession with a single command. Users can now create the visuals they want by starting a request with the phrase ‘Imagine me…’
By responding to the generated image, users can add or remove various elements from it or even change the background with just a single command.
Meta AI and these new-generation WhatsApp features are currently available in a total of 22 countries, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Cameroon. Unfortunately, Turkey is not among these countries. We hope that our country will join this trend in the near future.
