At the iPhone 16 event held about ten days ago, Apple focused heavily on its new feature, Apple Intelligence. While the AI-powered Apple Intelligence was expected to support multiple languages, it seems users will have to wait a while for this. The feature, which will launch next month for supported devices and regions, will initially only be available in American English. Here are the details about Apple Intelligence’s language support…
Apple Intelligence Language Support Will Expand
Initially working in the U.S. and in English, Apple Intelligence will be rolled out to more countries and languages in the coming months. During the “Glowtime” event, Apple announced that local English support will be available throughout December for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Apple also revealed its 2025 plans, announcing that support for Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish will be rolled out next year. This list, as mentioned during the event, is expected to expand with future updates.
In addition, two more English accents for India and Singapore are expected to be added next year. Languages like German, Italian, Portuguese, Vietnamese, and others will also receive support in 2025. Although there’s no official announcement for Turkish yet, we hope it arrives soon.
As you may know, Apple Intelligence is restricted in the European Union and China due to regulatory issues and is only available in supported regions for the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max models. It is also available on iPads and Mac models with the M1 processor and later versions.
