Ubisoft is set to bring “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” to the Steam platform on October 17th, with the game launching in October 2023. The company also confirmed Steam Deck compatibility with the game. The status of the game, which will initially be in the “Unknown” category, will be updated to “Playable” shortly after. Here are the details…
Assassin’s Creed Mirage becomes compatible with Steam Deck
The company said that the game is playable on Steam Deck, although there may be some minor optimization shortcomings. The Steam release will come with 50 in-game achievements that players can unlock by completing quests or achieving certain achievements.
However, in order to play “Assassin’s Creed Mirage”, players will need to install Ubisoft’s UbiConnect launcher. Still, this requirement might not go down well with some gamers, especially those who want to play the game independently.
In terms of game performance, “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” is known to perform reasonably well on systems equipped with the Radeon 760M. This hardware offers similar performance to the Steam Deck’s built-in graphics processing unit, so Steam Deck users should be able to enjoy satisfying gameplay.
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that updates to “Assassin’s Creed Origins” had a negative impact on gameplay. We will see if the same problem will occur in this series in the future. Ubisoft is now planning to bring its future games to the Steam platform earlier.
So, there is a possibility that one of the company’s upcoming games, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, could be released on Steam on the same day. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments section below.
