Xiaomi’s latest operating system HyperOS 2 is released: Apple ecosystem compatibility, Super Xiao AI and more arrives

With HyperOS 2, Xiaomi has introduced the most advanced multi-device connectivity and smart assistant features in addition to speed and smoothness. HyperOS 2 offers high performance and works in harmony with the Apple ecosystem, solving the issue that users complain about the most.

The new HyperOS 2 also optimizes system performance thanks to its self-developed microarchitecture scheduler. This architecture reduces CPU idle time by 19% and increases IPC by 16% in high-load tasks.

At the same time, it offers 46% lower response time in critical tasks, ensuring smooth use on every device from smart TVs to tablets to watches. Xiaomi states that this system provides “seamless fluency” on all devices, meaning users will not lose speed when switching from one device to another.

Xiaomi has also expanded the HyperConnect feature with HyperOS 2 and is now fully compatible with the Apple ecosystem. Operations such as file sharing and photo transfer between Xiaomi devices and Apple devices can be done effortlessly. Moreover, thanks to features such as viewing iWork documents, mirroring Xiaomi phone screen to Mac, multi-screen support on televisions, copy-paste 2.0 between devices, users will have a smoother experience by using both Apple and Xiaomi devices together.

In addition, users will be able to easily switch between smart home devices and wearable technologies while getting better quality images with Xiaomi’s newly developed dual camera combination feature. Meanwhile, the new operating system has also brought innovations to the user interface.

Thanks to the AI-powered cinematic lock screen, users will be able to use their videos as the lock screen background. Another remarkable feature of HyperOS 2 is the Super Xiao AI assistant. This assistant will help users with many functions, from making reminders to scanning documents, from calendar entries to local data storage. It will even synchronize across multiple devices, allowing users to complete “complex tasks in one step”.
