The company’s head of development, Kai Grünitz, has announced plans to “reshape” the design of the much-criticized models. The new design will be closer to Volkswagen’s traditional brand identity. There will also be significant changes in the areas of interior design, material quality and performance.

The cheap plastics previously used will be replaced by more luxurious and durable fabrics.

Volkswagen ID.3 has been the focus of criticism from time to time due to its high prices in Europe. The starting price of approximately 39 thousand 990 Euros in Germany was criticized for being sold at 16 thousand Euros in China. With the new updates, Volkswagen is expected to make this price difference more reasonable.
