A page posted on Samsung’s official website, which was quickly removed, revealed important details of One UI 7.The update, which is expected to be released in the last quarter of this year, is likely to be an important software update focusing on design and artificial intelligence.
Samsung will emphasize design and AI with One UI 7
One UI 7 is set to introduce a refreshed design described as a “sophisticated new look”. Leaked videos show a dynamic lock screen with more subtle animations, redesigned app icons and “Live Events” reminiscent of iOS. These interactive notifications provide real-time updates directly on the lock screen.
Beyond visual improvements, Samsung is also doubling down on AI integration. One UI 7 will offer an expanded set of AI-powered tools, highlighted by the Draw to Visual feature. This will allow users to turn simple doodles into works of art by harnessing the power of AI.
Existing features such as Portrait Studio and Live Effects, which provide artistic filters and depth manipulation for photos, will also be featured. On the other hand, Samsung plans to offer these advanced AI features for free until the end of 2025. After that, these features will require a subscription or one-time purchase.
One UI 7 also addresses growing concerns about children’s safety. New parental control features in the Galaxy Store will require parental consent for app downloads and in-app purchases.
The update is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2424, along with the Galaxy S2024 series, eventually reaching a variety of Galaxy devices.
