Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone SE 4 by the end of next March. Rumor has it that the company’s new mid-range model will undergo a major design change, bringing it more in line with the flagship iPhone models.
iPhone SE 4 comes with a 12 Megapixel TrueDepth selfie camera
The most striking feature of the iPhone SE 4 will be the 6.1-inch LTPS OLED panel to be produced by LG Display. This will be a significant upgrade from the LCD displays used in previous iPhone SE models.
The camera features of the new iPhone SE will also be significantly improved. It will feature a 48 Megapixel wide-angle lens on the back and a 12 Megapixel TrueDepth selfie camera on the front. This camera will be manufactured by LG Innotek, which also supplied the rear camera module for the iPhone SE 3 launched in 2022.
The camera of the iPhone SE 4 seems to be at the same level as the iPhone 16 series. This shows that users can get flagship-level photography performance even in an affordable mid-range device.
iPhone SE 4 will also be the company’s first device with an in-house developed 5G modem. Apple, which already buys 5G modems from Qualcomm, wants to reduce its dependence on foreign suppliers.
iPhone SE 4 is expected to be powered by the A18 chipset, which could become even more powerful than the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. The device is also rumored to include Apple Intelligence support.
