Although there’s still no official word on a PC version of Bloodborne for fans who have been waiting for it, independent developers and emulator projects are making great strides to fill this gap. Originally released as a PlayStation exclusive, Bloodborne has driven fans crazy by not being available on PC, but the emulator scene has made incredible progress. Here’s the latest update…
The Bloodborne adventure continues with emulators
FromSoftware’s cult classic Bloodborne was released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2015, and for years, fans have been hoping for a PC version. However, neither Sony nor FromSoftware have made any official statements on the matter. While rumors about a PC port have been circulating for years, there has been no concrete development. Instead, mod developers and emulation tools have been working on making Bloodborne playable on PC.

The latest version of the PlayStation 4 emulator ShadPS4 has brought Bloodborne to a level of playability on PC, with the game running impressively well. The emulator’s 0.5.1 update reportedly offers a largely stable performance and reaches 60 FPS. However, there are still some technical issues, including frame drops to the 40s in certain scenes.
Hope for a Bloodborne PC version remains alive, but Sony or FromSoftware have yet to comment. In the past, Hidetaka Miyazaki hinted that there wasn’t a definitive rejection regarding the game coming to other platforms, although he never directly spoke about a PC version. For now, however, Bloodborne on PC remains a dream for players.
