It has been revealed that the FBI has been conducting a secret investigation into UFOs through a unit kept secret from the public. This secret office was conducting research in parallel with the Pentagon’s UFO investigations.
FBI confesses to secret UFO office
According to a new report by Politico, the FBI’s secret working group is investigating UFOs that could pose a threat to national security. The existence of this office has not been made public until today.
‘The FBI investigates UFOs when there is the potential for violations of federal law, particularly illegal acts that could adversely affect our national interests, and to gather, share and analyse intelligence to combat security threats facing the United States,’ the FBI said in a statement.

The Pentagon has a similar group called AARO for military purposes. However, the FBI’s office stands out as the only known civilian counterpart within the government. Speaking on the subject, former Navy pilot Ryan Graves said the FBI could be affected by the change of government.
‘These leaders may not realise the incredible work that agents do and how their investigations can be strengthened as part of a formal intergovernmental effort,’ Graves said.
