As NVIDIA prepares to launch the market-shaking RTX 5090, AMD is not sitting idle. According to a new leak from Chiphell, AMD is planning to introduce a new RDNA 4 GPU with 32 GB VRAM in the first half of 2025. However, it is currently unclear whether this card will be aimed at gamers or the enterprise market. So what will the new GPU offer?
AMD’s response to RTX 5090: RDNA 4 GPU with 32 GB VRAM on the way!
In fact, it was already known that the Radeon RX 9070 XT would be the flagship GPU in AMD’s RDNA 4 lineup. While the RX 9070 XT was rumored to come with 16 GB VRAM and Navi 4c GPU, it was also rumored that a more powerful model was canceled. However, AMD may be working on a much more powerful card with a new surprise. Allegedly, the new card:

- It will have 32 GB VRAM,
- It will use a 256-bit or 512-bit memory bus,
- AI will be optimized for workloads,
- A direct competitor to the NVIDIA RTX 5090!
However, there are doubts about whether the card is truly a gamer card. Such a high amount of VRAM suggests that it might be developed more for AI, data center and professional work.
What about gaming performance?
If the card is released under the Radeon brand, gaming performance will be a question mark. It’s possible that AMD could combine high-capacity VRAM with AI-powered super-resolution technologies to offer a strong alternative to the RTX 5090. However, it is not yet clear whether this will be a “gamer card” or a “professional workstation card”.
If it is indeed a competitor to the RTX 5090, the competition between AMD and NVIDIA is going to be fierce in 2025. Do you think AMD’s move will be enough against NVIDIA? Let us know in the comments section below…
