Google has added a feature similar to “Circle to Search” to the Chrome and Google Search apps for iOS. Now, iPhone users can simply circle an object on their screen, click on it, or highlight it to search directly with Google Lens. This feature eliminates the need to take screenshots or open new tabs to quickly gather information about an image. So, how does the new feature work? Here are the details…
Google has introduced a visual search feature similar to “Circle to Search” for iPhone devices!
The new system makes it much easier to quickly gather information about objects on the screen, especially while reading, shopping, or watching videos. For example, when reading an article and coming across an interesting artwork, you can circle it or click on it to get more information. Similarly, if you see a product you like in a video, you can use Lens to find similar products.

In addition, Google is expanding the AI Overviews feature alongside this new feature. Now, when you search with Lens, users will receive AI-powered summary information without the need to add extra text. For example, if you take a picture of a car, Google AI will provide detailed information about that model and direct you to related sources.
This new feature has already started to roll out globally for iOS devices. In the coming months, a special Lens icon will be added to the address bar in Google apps, making the feature even more accessible.
What do you think about this new feature? How much do you think this visual search method improves the user experience? Is it really practical for iPhone users? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!
