Apple took an important step in storage with the iPad models it introduced the other day. Accordingly, it shelved the 64 GB storage option. The new generation iPad Air and iPad models have increased the initial storage capacity to 128 GB.
With iPad 11, the 64 GB storage period is over
Apple emphasised that this decision is aimed at improving the user experience. Accordingly, it was stated that 64 GB was insufficient for today’s applications and media files. ‘Now our users will be able to enjoy their devices without storage space problems when they buy a new iPad,’ he said.

This strategic change was not limited to the iPad series. The discontinuation of the iPhone SE 3, one of the last Apple devices to offer a 64 GB storage option, and the fact that the iPad 10 is no longer sold shows that the 64 GB era is over.
The 64 GB storage option, which entered our lives with the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X models in 2017 and spread to iPads in the same year, became history with these models. Apple’s latest decision was not only limited to storage space, but also increased the minimum amount of RAM to 16 GB in all Mac models.
Updated with the A16 chip, iPad 11 stands out with its powerful performance and improved screen experience. While the super-fast A16 chip facilitates multitasking workflows, it offers more space with 128 GB initial storage capacity. The 11-inch Liquid Retina display provides an eye-catching viewing experience with vibrant colours and high brightness levels.
