Roborock announced that the Saros Z70 model, one of the world’s first robotic arm robot vacuum cleaners, is now available for pre-order. Available with a $1,899 price tag, deliveries of the new model will begin in May. As a launch special, the company is offering an additional robot vacuum cleaner to users who order the Saros Z70.
Roborock launches its robotic arm vacuum cleaner
According to data from analytics firm IDC, Roborock overtook iRobot in terms of sales volume and revenue, becoming the best-selling robot vacuum cleaner brand worldwide. In the last quarter of 2024, Roborock’s market share reached 16 per cent, while iRobot, which struggled with financial problems, remained at 13.7 per cent. Another Chinese competitor Ecovacs ranked third with a market share of 13.5 per cent.

The Saros Z70, introduced at CES 2025, has a feature that has not been seen in robot vacuum cleaners to date: a robotic arm called ‘OmniGrip’. This arm provides a cleaning free of obstacles by removing small items that get in the way during cleaning.
Equipped with a powerful suction power of 22,000Pa and the StarSight navigation system, the product can both determine direction and recognise and avoid obstacles with 3D sensors, cameras and machine learning algorithms.
The device also features a new chassis technology called ‘AdaptiLift Chassis’. This technology enables the robot to overcome high thresholds, allowing it to move more easily between rooms. Equipped with a dual-function cleaning system, Saros Z70 can perform both sweeping and mopping at the same time.
The vacuum cleaner comes with a multifunctional charging station that empties the dust container, cleans the mop pads and fills the water tank. So what do you think about this subject? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
