The camera’s 35 mm sensor with a 2.9 micron pixel pitch provides 800 native ISO and 16-stop dynamic range. This allows video recording in various resolutions from 4K to 12K and different aspect ratios.

The PYXIS 12K can record at its highest setting at 12,288 x 5,112 pixels at 2.4:1 at 60 FPS. HDR content can be recorded in 12-bit Blackmagic RAW format to CFexpress cards or external disks, while 8-bit H.264 proxy recordings can also be taken.
The device, which also draws attention with its live broadcast features, can broadcast on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and X via 4G/5G mobile connections or Ethernet thanks to RTMP and SRT protocols. Remote control can be performed via Bluetooth connection via Android tablet or iPad.
The device has a 4-inch HDR touchscreen with 1500 nits brightness. Programmable function buttons and interchangeable mounting plates on the camera allow users to customize the equipment according to their own preferences.
Blackmagic PYXIS 12K will be on the market in July with a price tag of $5,000. So what do you think about this product? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
