Samsung continues to integrate artificial intelligence technology into different areas of daily life. This time, the company is taking a remarkable step in the field of gastronomy and opening a temporary restaurant called ‘Sem Igual’ in Portugal.
Samsung will open a restaurant with artificial intelligence
The restaurant will run entirely on Galaxy AI technology and menus will be created by artificial intelligence based on customers’ preferences. In this new experience centre of Samsung, customers will be given Galaxy S25 smartphones when they sit at their table.
Participants will take photos of the ingredients they want to use for the meal. The selection will consist of a protein source, a carbohydrate, three different vegetables and a sauce. Galaxy AI running on Galaxy S25 will analyse these ingredients and create recipes specific to each user.
The prepared recipe will be transmitted to chef João Dourado in the kitchen and the meal will be prepared according to this recipe. Galaxy AI will not only recognise ingredients; it will also design meals specific to each customer by evaluating thousands of possible combinations from 25 different ingredients.
In the promotional video published by Samsung Portugal, it is stated that artificial intelligence constantly offers different and creative meal ideas. In this way, each customer will be able to turn their restaurant experience into a personal gastronomic journey.
The first stage of the restaurant called Sem Igual will be launched in Lisbon on 8-9 May. Access to the restaurant will be free of charge on these dates, but capacity will be very limited. Samsung will carry out the second stage of the experience in Porto on 16-17 May.
