Leaked images of Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch 8 series show that the company has abandoned the completely circular smartwatch design it has been using for years. These images, detected in the One UI 8 Watch software, confirm that the Galaxy Watch 8 series has adopted a new design line that is a mixture of “squircle”, square and circle.
Galaxy Watch 8 design revealed
The Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic models, identified with the code names “Fresh8” and “Wise8”, replace the round case of the previous generations with a structure with more angular lines. However, the screen is still seen to be circular.

We can say that the general form of the watch now has a more square-like design. With this change, the strap connection points and body transitions are also reshaped. However, the new design is not limited to the case only.
While two physical buttons are preserved in the Galaxy Watch 8 model as in previous generations, a three-button structure is preferred in the Watch 8 Classic version. This design approach was also used in the Galaxy Watch Ultra model that Samsung introduced last year.
However, it is stated that the Watch 8 Classic model may differentiate itself from the Ultra by preserving Samsung’s characteristic rotating bezel feature. This new design means a significant transformation in the brand’s design line in wearable technologies.
The technical specifications of the device are not yet fully clear. So what do you think about this? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
