According to reliable industry sources, Digital Chat Station revealed in a recent Weibo post that a new smartphone prototype powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850) chipset is currently undergoing internal testing. While the device’s name hasn’t been explicitly confirmed, the model is widely believed to be the upcoming OnePlus 15. The leak includes display and camera details, indicating that OnePlus is preparing a significant shift in design philosophy for its new flagship.
What to Expect from the OnePlus 15
According to the leak, the OnePlus 15 will feature a 6.78-inch flat LTPO display with 1.5K resolution. Compared to the curved 2K display of its predecessor, the OnePlus 13, this new panel will have a broader layout with rounded corners. This design is said to resemble the front look of modern iPhone models, offering a more symmetrical and visually balanced aesthetic.

The OnePlus 15 will also adopt LIPO packaging technology, allowing for ultra-thin bezels and a more uniform front appearance. With a focus on lightness and minimalism, the display is expected to stretch edge-to-edge, once again mirroring the style of recent Apple smartphones.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850), the phone is also expected to be impressive in the camera department. Leaks suggest it will feature a 50 MP triple rear camera setup. Additionally, earlier reports hinted at the possibility of a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens being included.
Expected to offer a clean and lightweight design, the OnePlus 15 may house a large battery with a capacity of over 6,500 mAh. The device is anticipated to launch toward the end of this year.
