MSI has given the first signs confirming that it is working on the next-generation Claw model. The device, codenamed Claw 7 A2HM, is being developed with Intel processors and there is no official information about an AMD-based version yet.
MSI will come out with the new Claw 2 handheld console
In the first Claw model, the battery and performance efficiency of the Intel processor fell behind compared to AMD, which caused the Claw series not to reach the expected popularity. Despite this, MSI decided to continue with Intel in the second generation.

The codename “Claw 7 A2HM” seen in the new leaks offers some technical clues according to MSI’s naming system. The letter “H” indicates the high-performance mobile processor class, and “M” indicates the variant model.
Therefore, the Claw 2 may be equipped with a processor from Intel’s Core Ultra 200H series. While these processors are among the NPU-free versions, they come with graphics units other than the Xe2 architecture, such as Alchemist or Xe-LPG+.
These graphics solutions with XMX cores are capable of providing enough graphics power for portable devices. The fact that the letter “V”, which was previously found in AI+ models, is not included in this model indicates that we are facing a system without an AI accelerator.
Despite all these developments, the expectation for an AMD-based MSI Claw model still continues. So what do you think about this device? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
