Qualcomm has announced the launch date of its Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. The new-generation flagship chipset will be introduced at the Snapdragon Summit event, which will take place on September 23-25, 2025.
Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be introduced
Qualcomm is expected to announce its new devices immediately after introducing its processor. This means that high-end smartphone models will be introduced in late September or early October. The decision to introduce early will also intensify the competition between the manufacturers that are the first to use Qualcomm’s chipset.

The new date may also affect Samsung’s strategy. There will be only a three-month period between the company’s new-generation foldable phones, which it is preparing to launch in early July, and the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. This time difference may weaken the appeal of the brand’s current models.
Technical details about the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 have also started to leak. It is stated that the processor will be produced with N3P technology, TSMC’s most advanced 3nm production process. It was stated that the chip will have two high-performance Prime cores and six performance cores that can reach up to 4.4 GHz. The Oryon Gen 2 architecture developed by Qualcomm will form the basis of the processor.
The new generation artificial intelligence unit (NPU) has the capacity to perform 100 trillion operations per second (TOPS). This value indicates a big leap compared to the 45 TOPS level in the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
It is stated that the Adreno 840 GPU with a 33% larger L2 cache is used on the graphics side. It was shared that the processor reached 3.8 million points in early tests conducted on the AnTuTu platform.
