Samsung Galaxy S26’s camera is being renewed: But in a different way!

New information has arrived about the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. Rumors suggest that the standard model will feature a camera change.

Samsung is preparing to unveil its next-generation Galaxy S26 series next year, and the countdown has officially begun. Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in leaks related to the upcoming smartphones. Today, another one has surfaced, revealing a key detail about the standard model in the series.

New information about the Galaxy S26 series has emerged. Previous rumors suggested the lineup could feature a telephoto setup with a 3.5x and 8x lens combination or a single 200 MP telephoto sensor capable of long zoom ranges through digital cropping. However, the latest developments indicate that the standard Galaxy S26 will come with a new 50 MP main sensor.

Considering the Galaxy S25 already features a 50 MP main sensor, the upcoming model’s resolution won’t change. Instead, Samsung plans to upgrade the ISOCELL GN sensor model it has been using for the past three years.

Sources say the new main sensor will still belong to the ISOCELL GN series. It’s expected to feature larger pixels, potentially offering sharper images and better low-light performance. However, some skepticism remains as ISOCELL GN sensors haven’t seen significant size increases over the years, raising questions about the real-world impact of the upgrade.
