Microsoft has added new AI features to Paint and Notepad, which are applications identified with the Windows operating system. The improvements will be officially offered to users in the coming weeks.
Microsoft Paint and Notepad will gain AI support
The AI feature called “Rewrite”, which was previously added to Notepad, can create content according to user commands with the new update. In addition, the created texts can be optimized through commands.
However, these advanced features are only available for Microsoft 365 or Copilot Pro subscribers. Users can access the functions from the Copilot menu on Notepad or with the CTRL+Q keyboard shortcut.

On the Paint side, two new AI-supported features stand out. Users can now create special labels through written commands. In addition, a specific part of an image can be isolated and only that part can be worked on. In order to use these features, the device must have the Copilot+ PC certificate.
Functional innovations have also been added to the Screen Snipping tool. Users can now see the values of the colors in the area they take a screenshot in HEX, RGB and HSL formats. In addition, a new feature called “Perfect” automatically scales the screenshot to fit the user. This function is also only active on Copilot+ PCs.
These AI features will be tested by users who are included in the Windows Insider program in the first place. What do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
