Microsoft has begun testing a mobile version of its AI-powered Xbox Copilot. iOS and Android users can now access Copilot for Gaming via the beta version of the Xbox mobile app. This early version allows users to get recommendations based on their play history, view their achievements, and request guides or tips about games.
Microsoft is bringing Xbox Copilot to mobile
The new feature is designed as a second screen to keep users from being distracted during gameplay. The mobile version of Copilot knows which game the player is playing, analyzes activity on their Xbox account, and tailors responses accordingly.

The system offers links to web resources when necessary and can answer questions about the game directly from the user’s play history or achievements. Microsoft’s previous demo footage also suggested that Copilot could be used as a kind of AI coach in the future.
The company demonstrated in an experiment it conducted on Overwatch 2 that Copilot detects player mistakes and makes hero suggestions that fit team composition. Similarly, in Minecraft, users can ask Copilot in-game questions, such as item crafting.
Xbox Copilot’s interface is similar to Microsoft’s general Copilot system, and users can customize the voice. In future versions, the assistant is also expected to allow users to download and install games directly to the console.
The testing phase is currently only open in certain regions. What do you think about this? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
