Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI has signed a $300 million deal with instant messaging platform Telegram. As part of the deal, Grok artificial intelligence will be offered to Telegram users as of this summer.

Telegram founder Pavel Durov stated that Grok is the best artificial intelligence technology on the market; and announced that with the integration, Telegram’s user base of over 1 billion will have access to this technology.

Grok will be integrated directly into Telegram’s search bar. In this way, users will be able to perform functions such as creating topical chats, smart text editing, summarizing chats and documents, and managing group chats via Grok.

It is also known that the $300 million cooperation includes not only cash but also capital support. The parties will also share equally the revenues from xAI subscriptions to be sold within the Telegram platform. This means that Grok will be directly commercialized within Telegram.

Durov also touched on the Telegram Premium subscription system. According to the information he provided, the number of paid users has doubled in the last year, exceeding 15 million. While Telegram has recently taken steps to diversify its revenue model, Grok integration will also be a part of this strategy.
