The personal mobile phone belonging to White House personnel director Susie Wiles, one of the people closest to US President Donald Trump, was seized by cyber attackers. Following the incident, White House personnel and some well-known names were targeted. The FBI has launched an investigation into the incident.
Trump’s personnel director’s phone was seized
It was stated that the attackers accessed the contact list via the iPhone used by Wiles and obtained the contact information of the people in this directory. According to the information obtained, the attackers imitated Susie Wiles’ voice and face using artificial intelligence technology. Various messages were sent to the people in the directory using this fake identity.

The targeted people were invited to start a conversation through the messages sent and asked to continue the conversations via the Telegram application. It was determined that the person or people who aimed to carry out the phishing attack with this method tried to deceive the victims with social engineering techniques.
The FBI stepped in after the situation was noticed. No official details were given on the subject, but FBI sources announced that the security of Wiles’ phone and the other affected devices was ensured. The technical details of how the phone was hacked have not yet been clarified. However, it is known that an Iran-based cyber attack group hacked Wiles’ email account in 2024.
The incident once again revealed how high-level personal devices used in government institutions have become a sensitive target. What do you think about this? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
