A new trailer for the new game in the Mafia series, Mafia: The Old Country, was shown during the Summer Game Fest 2025 event. Symbolizing the series’ return to its roots, the production will be on sale for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms on August 8, 2025.

Among the elements that shape the theme of the game in the trailer, the concept of “family loyalty”, shown as the basic principle of survival in the mafia world, stands out. The trailer, designed on the visual atmosphere, period details and character dynamics; revealed the tone of the new story that brings the classic mafia narrative to Italy.

Designed in a similar way to the narrative structure in the first two games, The Old Country; will have a game structure that can be completed in a shorter time and has a clearly defined beginning and end. This decision shows that the developer studio has adopted a different approach to content and pace after the criticisms the previous game received.
A remarkable strategy is also being implemented regarding pricing. The game will be sold abroad with a price tag of $50. Compared to the prices of major productions that have recently increased to $80, this amount remains below the usual AAA game prices.
