Apple is offering an important innovation for iPhone users with the iOS 26 update. You will now be able to track exactly how long it will take for your iPhone to fully charge directly from the lock screen. This feature; previously provided manually through the Apple Shortcuts application, has been integrated directly into the operating system with iOS 26.
iPhone shows charging time on the lock screen
With this new feature, you can instantly view the estimated time required for the battery to reach 100 percent, whether you are charging your iPhone with a wireless charger or a traditional charging adapter.

Especially when using slow charging connections or Qi-based chargers limited to 5W, the system also shows a warning that it is charging slowly. This detailed information allows users to manage their charging processes more effectively.
The estimated remaining charging time information can also be viewed in detail in the Battery section of the Settings application. Apple does not currently offer a special toolkit for this functionality; instead, it includes the estimated time directly in the lock screen interface.
Another notable innovation that comes with iOS 26 is the new battery management feature called “Adaptive Power.” This smart feature comes into play when battery usage is higher than normal.
In these scenarios, iPhone increases battery life by making small performance adjustments. Users can access this battery life improvement feature from the “Power Mode” screen in the Battery section of the Settings menu. This allows the device to last longer even when battery consumption is high.
